Few people would suspect that Butterme is not, as she has told them, a travel consultant. Her current employment at a major travel agency chain is the perfect cover for her real identity as an international jetsetting spy ace. She speaks fluent Italian as a result of a teenage rampage around the country of love, she has been down and out in Paris and London, taken a road trip to the Grand Canyon, climbed Mt Kinabalu, drunk tea with the long-ear tribes of northern Thailand, imbibed cocktails by the pool in New Caledonia and swum in crocodile-infested waters in Far North Queensland. Her favourite destination is home in bed with a cup of cocoa and the latest Jilly Cooper novel. She thinks reality is a nice place to visit, but she wouldn’t want to live there. She also really likes to talk about herself in third person.
